Originally intended to be only 10 feet tall, at 19 feet, this white marble sculpture is impressive. It was created by the american sculptor Daniel Chester French and carved by the Piccirilli Brothers.  It's a sculpture that captures the the heavy weight of being a leader and the task of making decisions that will change the course of history.  At times, the right decision can be a difficult one that leaves you feeling as if you're standing alone. It's a heavy burden but one worth the many battles ahead.   Everyone that visits this memorial does so out of this belief.  It's one of the best types of selfie a couple can take.
